For you

  • Every club now reads as itself. A team's colour is one the club actually publishes, and clubs no longer pile onto the same colour, so a colour on a chart mostly says which team it belongs to. Where a club's main colour disappeared against a dark page, it takes another of its own colours rather than a washed out version of the first. A few pairs genuinely publish the same colour as each other, and we leave those sharing it rather than inventing a difference.
  • The site's own highlight colour moved off gold, because ten clubs publish a gold close enough to it that a team's colour and a button could look the same. An injury tag no longer borrows it either. A few charts still draw with it and will move to team colours as those pages are rebuilt.
  • Injury labels are readable in light mode, where one of them had been printing in a colour too pale to read against the page.

Under the hood

  • Every club carries its published palette with the page it was taken from. A picker chooses between them on contrast against the surface, assigning across all 32 clubs at once so two clubs cannot land on the same chip; a test rather than a runtime rule holds every chip clear of the interface accent, measured with CIEDE2000; where two clubs publish the same colour first and neither has an alternative that clears, they share it and the data says so. The accent moved from amber to orchid after measurement against every club colour, every chart series and every status colour. On chip ink is derived per theme. The light mode warning colour is its own token again rather than an alias of the accent. A pipeline test fails on any team code a published artifact emits that the site cannot resolve.
